About Steve:

Steve brings decades of experience across education and business to his tutoring practice, offering high-impact support rooted in both academic rigour and real-world understanding. After qualifying with a PGCE from Bristol in 1979, Steve taught in West London before stepping into leadership roles, including Head of Business Studies and Head of Years 10 & 11.

His most recent eleven years at a local independent school saw him mentoring students through the pressures of GCSEs and guiding them in Physics and KS3 Science with a calm, structured, and confidence-building approach. Steve’s blend of subject expertise and pastoral care means his learners gain not just stronger grades, but greater resilience and self-belief.

Beyond the classroom, Steve has led Duke of Edinburgh and World Challenge expeditions — experiences that shape his ability to connect with students, build character, and inspire growth. And when it’s time to unwind, you'll find him strumming away as a keen guitarist.
