About Nikki:

Nikki is an experienced and passionate History, Politics and Citizenship teacher with over 15 years in the classroom and more than seven years leading a successful History department. She has taught students from Key Stage 2 through to A Level and brings extensive knowledge of curriculum design, assessment, and academic progression. As an examiner for all major UK exam boards, she offers invaluable insight into how students can maximise marks, refine exam technique, and develop sophisticated historical analysis.

Alongside her classroom and leadership experience, Nikki has worked as a personal tutor at both GCSE and A Level, supporting students in achieving ambitious academic goals. Her own academic background — including a First Class BA and an MA in History — underpins her deep subject knowledge and intellectual rigour.

Above all, Nikki’s teaching is driven by genuine enthusiasm. She firmly believes that if a student finds History boring, they simply haven’t been taught it properly. Her love of the subject extends far beyond the classroom: she spends much of her free time travelling to historical sites, reading widely, and sharing her passion with her own children through visits to castles and museums. This authentic engagement brings energy, depth, and storytelling flair to her sessions, making the past feel vivid, relevant, and alive.
