About Lucy:

Lucy brings curiosity, care and academic rigour to every session. With a PGCE in Biology from Oxford University and a BSc in Biology from Swansea, she has taught in a variety of educational settings across KS3 and KS4, including experience supporting students with additional needs. Lucy teaches Biology, Chemistry and Physics with clarity and enthusiasm—her lessons spark interest in the natural world and equip students with the exam skills they need to thrive. She combines her scientific expertise with a nurturing teaching style that builds learners’ self-belief, especially those who feel science “isn’t for them.” Her background includes leading science clubs, gardening initiatives and contributing to conservation efforts in Mauritius and Puerto Rico. She’s also a published contributor in microbiome research, bringing real-world insights to the classroom.
